UFFA Youth Cup

This time we look at the official Youth Cup. This has a number of teams from each FA. The WCA had SK Bergen, SK Brann, CaCato and The Crookshank Redemption. These guys finished 1st to 4th in the WCA U21 League.

It is unfair that three of our representatives were randomly placed in the same group A. SK Brann were unlucky to only gain three points. Similarly CaCato missed out only just. So SK Bergen won seven out of the ten games to finish a convincing 1st and making it to the knockout round.

The Crookshank Redemption had group B and successfully and convincingly finished in the top two of the group.

SK Bergen have played both legs against "England" and won 4-1 on aggregate so are through to either Woolley Hotspur or Hanabishi United in the semi final. Congrats :)

The Crookshank Redemption have lost the first Quarter Final leg 2-1 vs Enterprise but we wish you luck for your home leg.

Let us know in WCA chat when you're playing so we can come and lend support.

UFFA Round Up - Public Comps

First up we have the UFFA Youth comp you enter yourselves. One more match to go before the Semi finals are drawn.

Congrats firstly to SK Bergen who have won 3-0 in the quarter finals and are through to the semi final. Secondly congrats to SK Brann for getting into the quarters although you have a tough opponent in John Batty. Give anyone who is online a shout when this fixture comes up and the WCA will lend support.

Hopefully we won't have both of you playing each other in the semi should SK Brann make it :)

We've not been so lucky in the Senior version of the cup. None of us present in the quarter finals here. It does look like a few have managed to get into the 4th round. Congrats but must try better next season :p

Round Up of Premiership

Round Up of Premiership

The first season of the Weekend Premiership got underway this week and already 179 games have been played in the 7 days it has been running, with a grand total of 214 goals been scored within these games. Which iv gotta say seems like a great start to the season. There is 2 players who have contributed to this goal tally with a total of 9 goals each these are Dean Ashton of Smithy FC and Dominique Malonga of CaCato. With only 3 teams not managing to play any games in this first week the table is quite spread out. The leaders at this early stage are Churwell Lions who are being closely followed by CaCato. As there is still teams to play there first games however i feel that the Premiership could go to a number of teams and that its still there to play for, for everybody.

Thats just a quick round up of the first week but next week will be more in depth with the current record holders also involved :) so keep posted thanks all wca woop :)

Season 3 Competitions

Just a quick one for you to check the descriptions of the leagues you're entered into. It says how many get promoted and relegated. Where playoffs are concerned it's important to note that you will be invited to enter playoffs for promotion. These will start within two days of the season finishing. If you do not respond to your invite by then, I'm afraid that you forfeit your playoff place.

UFFA competitions will mainly go to the Premiership places and cup winners at the end of Season 2.

Any newcomers to the WCA will start in the third tiers. Anyone who leaves the WCA forfeits their UFFA places and will have to start at the bottom if they rejoin.

Starting from Season 3 the WCA will host one or two weird and optional competitions for those of you that would like more than a few official competitions to enter. No prize money - just for pride. The weirder the idea the better. Set us apart from other FAs.

We'll also be allocating two Organisers to the WCA for Season 3. We've already had a high number of applicants but it is not too late to express your interest and show you're up to the job. Still some "reporter" positions available - this is an important part of the WCA community so if you want a league or cup (or if you would like to take on more than one competition) then please let me know in game :)

WCC Final Stage/First Semi-Final

Weekend Casual Cup entered final stage. Semi-Final battle already started.

Four Competitors - Torbjorn Vik's SK Bergen, Shiv Nanda's Punjab Police FC, William Foley's Chelsea. FC and Alastair Thompson's Belfast FA.
Main favourite - Mr. Thompson's team - currently best WCA team, with place in top 30 of World Ranking, confirmed their will to win WCC with beating of one of top WCA teams, DYNAMO RANGERS, in 1st Round.
Third top WCA team, The Top Neeks, has been defeated in Last 16 by Chelsea FC., which is in top 20 of WCA and in third hundred of WR.
SK Bergen went also into Semis, at the moment in top 10 of WCA Qual 4.
The biggest surprise - 4th Semi-Finalist is not another top team of WCA - it is ranked around 500th place in WR, Mr. Nanda's team. It is a big success for them already.

In first Semi-Final SK Bergen is going to face Punjab Police FC.
Second Semi-Final was already played between Chelsea. FC and Belfast FA.

Despite the fact that ball possession % were equal, Mr. Foley's side was dominating through most of the match, with 14 shots (with only 4 rival's), but each team managed to shoot only twice on goal. Massive amount of Chelsea. FC's Long Shots were probably main reason for lack of goals.
Action of the match had place in 82nd minute, when after Belfast's corner and chaos in Chelsea's Penalty Area, Jussie has made the best decision with a long pass from his own area to Aco Stojkov.
Macedonian Striker, who subbed non-creative Kahe just 2 minutes earlier, after a great run went 1 on 1 with keeper and without any problem scored a winning goal.

Final Result - Chelsea. FC 1:0 Belfast FA.

Looking forward to second Semi-Final and to big Final.

Quick Update

The last two comps "11th Hour League" and "11th Hour Cup" were started yesterday. Sorry this was a day late in starting for those that came into WCA in time for the last week. Hope you like the comps.

Apologies to all those I should face between now and the end of the season. Please feel free to play my AI as I will not be able to log in again until Monday night!!

Take it steady and I'll catch up soon (in time for reporting final comp standings and sorting out the allocations to leagues!).

Qual 4 Update

WCA Qual 4 Standings

Again a very active league within the WCA FA and here are the standings:

Belfast FA from Nortern Island are topping the league with 46 points and a predicted points total of 80 which is currently the highest in the league. From position 2 to 4 there is only 3 points seperating them all, so it should come to an intense finale. The rest of the league are pretty much around the same points total at the minute or predicted totals due to the games played by each which makes me think that this league will be very close at the end.

WCA Qual 4 Records

So far the records look as such:

Dominic Berzin's Thats What She Said United have four records the the minute which are Biggest win, Highest scoring match, most goals in a match and most assists in a match. With the 7-1 win he's had so far which i would class as the second biggest win only due to the fact that he conceded in the match. The rest of the records are similar to the rest of the gameworlds and i havent found some which really stand out other than the Biggest wins in each gw. But there is chance yet for these to be smashed so keep going ;).

WCA 3 Update

WCA 3 Standings

Possibly the most active league in the WCA with all the teams playing over 10 games. And with the current standings at: (with only a week to go to remind you ;) )

Topping the league are Cacato owned by Catagoy Saygon who've played 31 games clocking up 55 points. 2nd place are only 4 points behind and are called Old Hill FC. Ipswich Wanderrers however currently have the higest potential points with 76 after 20 games so you might see them mount a late charge for the #1 spot.

WCA 3 Records

So far the records look as such:

The biggest win in this league is the biggest so far of all the WCA leagues with Jonathon Lathams Lego United who managed to score 7 - 0 in a goal which i think will be the WCA record of the season at the minute. The Shaun Goaters also are in amongst the record books for the most games unbeaten which is a run which continues to this day of a total of 20 games. The player on form within this league looks to be Mario Balotelli who has a total of 4 records the best being the amount of goals he has scored which is 50 goals in 56 games.

Keep checking the blog as report on WCA will be up soon...

Welcome to Gacho

Not only are we privileged to have Gacho in our GW but he has joined WCA. Too late to enter official comps for Season 1... but that means more time for blog action :p

If anyone else would like to help with the WCA team let me know :)

WCA Update

As we can see above, the U21 League is underway. Congrats to the SK teams :D. Remember that players age at the start of the season, so watch out for 21 year olds.

Above is the Youth Ranks across the GW. Only one WCA in there. Congrats Ben. Come on the rest of you!!

In terms of senior ranks we're starting to slip (Alastair!), but it is early days!

Just to fill you in above shows the "Latecomers" league. Hayes leading the table so far. I hope this is running OK. Think of it as a taster for Season Two.

Just a quick one to show the Last 16 places are starting to fill in the League Cup (above- congrats to Mark Carr getting to the Quarters) and the normal Cup (below).

Lastly, I'm not going to dwell on the UFFA competitions. We all got knocked out in the early stages of both cups. Better luck next year ;)

WCA Qual 2

WCA Qual 2
Now time for the 2nd qualifying group to be analyzed and assessed. The current standings are as follows:

Again the league got of to a hugely anticipated start with plenty of games being played within the first day. Up to now 180 games have being played which is slightly less than the first qualifying group but still a great start. Although less games have been played the goal count is nearly the same with this league scoring a total of 224 goals in there games and the guy who has bagged the most is Kenneth Hughes and his team called Traverspine FC, who are also currently sitting top of the table. The other teams looking value for money are Leeds United Football Club and The Top Neeks who have predicted points of 90 and 80 after playing 8 and 6 games respectively. Now its time to take a look at the records...

Qual 2 Records

Again the highest scoring game in this group is 4-0 achieved by Paul Blackmore. I highlight in this qualifying group seems to be a player called Messi but not the well know one a 28 year old cameroonian who has currently got the most goals scored in a game achievement and the most hattricks in the league.

Qual 3 round up coming soon...

WCA Update 24/11

I've got the go-ahead to start a league for those that joined the WCA after the start of the season. At the last count there are nine people that joined late. Bear with me while I get it implemented tonight - will be as soon as I can. :)

In terms of what will happen at the end of the season, once all the competitions you are in complete you will be allocated any "top up" prize money. To explain, you will have already been distributed the money for finishing last in all comps; if you now finish 1st you will get the money for finishing 1st minus the money for finishing last. Hope that makes sense.

Shortly after the prize money is handed out, screenshots will be available at this blog, competitions will be reset and the Qualifiers are over!! You are free to leave the WCA if you like but hopefully everyone will stay.

UFFA (best of Lineker) places will be awarded to the best performing teams within WCA, competitions will run for Season 2. All to be announced at the end of the season. If you leave WCA you will forfeit your UFFA place.

The Premiership: Anyone who finishes in the top five of their league will be transferred to the Prem. At the end of Season 2, relegations to take place. Teams in the Prem will excluded from the Non-Prem Cup.

The Championship: Anyone who finishes in places 6th to 10th in their league will be transferred to the Champs. At the end of Season 2, promotions and relegations to take place.

The League Ones: Remaining teams will be places randomly within the League One's with the best teams being promoted to the Champs at the end of Season 2.

The money is distributed so that winners of Prem get around £1m and bottom of League 1's get £250k. I'm sure by now that you realise that £750k is not that much difference. This is the same across all FAs in all GWs.

A big thanks to Josh who, I'm sure you will agree, has completed an excellent round of League 1. More to follow. If anyone else wants to get involved let me know. :)

p.s. 8pm tonight the U21 League starts.

WCA Qual League Reports

Welcome to the first report on the WCA leagues, over the next couple of days keep checking in as reports on each of the leagues will be posted.

The WCA leagues have been up and running nearly a week now and many games have been played with most teams getting plenty of games in, but still all the leagues look very close and are sure to come to an intense finale. Ill start by reporting on the Qual 1 league :

WCA Qual 1

The League got off to a fast start with many of its participants signing in to play their first games minutes after the season got underway and to date the total of 21 participants have played 206 games. Whilst playing these games a total of 268 goals have been scored with Winton town getting the main chunk of these goals scoring 33 goals in 16 games which is a good record by anybodys standards.

The current standings however are: (only top 9 viewable.)

The current standings show Sk Brann taking an early lead and Churwell Lions and Winton town taking 2nd and 3rd respectively. The league is still anyones for the taking however, as most of the chasing pack have played less games than the current leaders. Also there are many teams to have played only a few games but done really well in them. An example of this is Trafalgar United who have the highest predicted points total of 80 after playing eight games winning five, drawing one and losing two.

WCA Qual 1 Records

The main records that have been achieved at the minute are biggest win which is 4-0 and currently held by David Bentleys, Kirkby Everton FC. Also the two other main records are highest scoring game which is currently at 4-4 and the longest streak unbeaten which is 14 games and still running which is held by Churwell Lions. This is just the first week however so expect most if not all of these to be beaten as the season comes to a climax.

Next up is Qual group 2 so keep checking the blog for info of how well the teams in the FA are doing and see who has the best records. Hopefully this will be a weekly report on each league to try make each team feel more part of a big community of players all aiming for one thing to be #1 so watch this space...

Reporters & Blog Contributers

Anyone reading this. If you like writing then get in touch to help with writing league reports and/or blog messages :) All help appreciated.

Also if you have an idea to make the FA or the blog better then let me know.

Already discussing implementing a Charity Shield. Watch this space... :)

WCA Leagues, End Day 1 Season 1

Who said that WCA was casual? ;)

For the record, the top five of each league will be placed in the Premiership (unless you move FAs).

The next five of each league will be placed in the Championship.

Remaining will be placed in Division One leagues.

UFFA allocation will be announced at the end of the season.

If you move FAs then you will lose your UFFA place and will very likely start at the bottom tier of the FA you move to.
